Dr Karolina Skrzypek MD, MBA, ABOIM,  FMACP

Dr Karolina Skrzypek is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She has also completed a certification in Functional Medicine.

Dr Skrzypek believes in the power of combining all available evidence-based approaches to care, along with your wishes and needs, to help you get to an ideal state of health and wellness.

In Integrative and Functional Medicine, the diagnosis doesn’t stop at the symptom or illness. We will stive to find the source of the illness and how it is connected throughout the entire body.

How I became an Integrative and Functional Medicine doctor

My path to becoming an Integrative and Functional Medicine doctor started after I completed my residency in Internal Medicine. I wanted to learn more about how I could help my patients obtain a better level of health through more natural but evidence-based approaches to care.

I completed a Faculty Scholars Program at the University of Michigan in Integrative Medicine and learned about how alternative and more natural therapies could be combined with traditional medicine. After gaining this knowledge I started to change the way that I approached certain aspects of my health and lifestyle. I started to focus more on nutrition, exercise, the mind body connection and how certain things in our environment affect our health.

I then went on to complete a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and also became board certified in Integrative Medicine. I am also certified in Functional Medicine and have taken courses through the American Academy for Anti Aging and the Institute of Functional Medicine.
